The RETRO Cup was founded on the 1^st of May on the initiative of the children football club RETRO. The Retro club was taken note of by the UEFA children department of sport for the popularization of children football as the means of the healthy way of life and international friendship.

Since that time the RETRO Cup has gained a great popularity within Ukraine and Europe. 8000 young footballers from 450 teams from Ukraine, Hungary, Russia, Byelorussia, Latvia and other countries took  part in the tournament. Everyone taking part in the RETRO Cup knows about a unique atmosphere in the tournament. New acquaintances promising to develop into the friendship and a sincere communication between children and adults work like a visiting card for out-of-the match activity of the RETRO Cup.

Due to the efforts of the RETRO Cup Ukraine and Vatutino town are known throughout Europe.

RETRO is the symbol of the consolidation of the best traditions of football generations, nostalgia for the hearty and true football, and genuine love for this unique game.

Young Friends, be fond of football! Respect, take care of and remember your first coaches. Be grateful to those who help you. Love and honour your parents.

For every young footballer a football tournament is a kind of exam.
